Amy Bryson

University Secretary

amy-bryson-sm.jpgIn her role as University Secretary, Amy Bryson provides strategic oversight, leadership and direction to the University Secretariat team, which supports Western's bicameral governance system in accordance with legal requirements and obligations, the University of Western Ontario Act, the bylaws and regulations of Senate and Board, and accepted best governance practices.

Amy began her career working as a corporate commercial lawyer for 12 years, 11 of them with McKenzie Lake Lawyers LLP here in London. In 2010, she joined Ivey Business School as the Manager of HBA Recruiting and in 2013 became the Director of HBA Recruiting and Admissions. She served in that role until January 2020 when she joined the President’s Office as Executive Director and Senior Advisor to the President.

Amy has served on the board of several non-profit and for-profit organizations over her career and has most recently served as the Chair of the Board of CAA Club Group and CAA Insurance Company.

She has a B.A. Honours degree from Huron University College at Western, LL.B. from the University of Saskatchewan, and obtained the ICD.D designation in 2016.
