Peter White

Peter White has been the Executive Director of Government Relations and Strategic Partnerships at Western University since 2013. In his role, he works with all three of the levels of government advocating and working on behalf of Western's interests. He works with the private sector on linking companies with Western in research and development fields. He manages Western's Advanced Manufacturing programs and assets as well as working as a liaison on many Western working groups. Peter also helps manage and sits on the Fraunhofer FPC Advisory Board. Previous to Western, Peter was President & CEO of the London Economic Development Corporation from 2007 to 2013 where the LEDC was recognized provincially, nationally and internationally for its successes. Before returning to London, he held leadership roles in the technology sector with  Nexent, Globalstar, and Motorola and was a board member of Globalstar Canada from 1999 to 2015. He supports many initiatives in the City of London and has served on many not-for-profit boards. Currently he serves as the Past Chair of the RBC Place London Board, Vice Chair of Airshow London, member of the London and St.Thomas Association of Realtors Governance Committee and is a Corporation board member at Huron College University. He is a graduate of Huron College University at Western.
